The Bull Test Station at Southern Illinois University is entering its thirty-eighth year of operation. It has facilities to test the gain and feed conversion of seventy-two (72) bull calves for a 84 to 112-day test period depending on if in Senior or Junior Division.

Objectives of the Southern Illinois University Bull Testing Station are to:

Evaluate the ability of bulls to gain rapidly.

Measure true feed intake to determine feed efficiency.

Provide a location where cattle breeders can purchase superior performance-tested bulls with excellent genetics
